ELIZABETH BECKER, When the War Was Over

Elizabeth Becker was a Washington Post correspondent, then became the Senior Foreign Editor of National Public Radio and later the Assistant Washington Editor at the New York Times in charge of foreign and financial news. She reported on Cambodia from 1973 onwards. In 2005 the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) and the American Embassy in Phnom Penh published a translation of “When the War Was Over” by Elizabeth Becker. This 724-page book was translated into Khmer by Tep Meng Khean and Sokha Irene, and edited by Youk Chhang. The book was distributed free of charge to any member of the Cambodian public who requested it.
